Tours of Patagonia and Argentina's Lake District

Tours > Patagonia

Patagonia is the expansive area of land stretching from south of the Neuquén and Colorado rivers right down to the southern tip of Argentina. Argentinian Patagonia is home to under two million people giving it a population density of just over 2 people per square kilometre, with less than 1/km2 in Santa Cruz province (compare this to the South Island of New Zealand with over 6 people per km2. Apart from the wilderness, Patagonia is home to some remarkable geography such as the Perito Moreno Glacier and exotic fauna such as the guanaco, cougar, rhea and numerous marine life like whales, penguins and seals. Experience the beauty of Patagonia firsthand!

El Calafate - Gateway to the glaciar

Visit the spectacular Perito Moreno - the world's largest glaciar outside of Antarctica. Located within short range of El Calafate, Perito Moreno flows down from the Cordillera towards Argentino Lake. You'll be in awe of the hugeness of P.Moreno and impressed by the occasional sound of large pieces of ice breaking away from the glaciar and plumeting down into the lake.
